Virginia Humanities Conference

One of the things I have been working on for the past several months has been organizing the 2015 Virginia Humanities Conference, on the theme, “The Humanities and/in the Public Sphere.” This April, Marymount University will be hosting the conference on its Main Campus, and I am very happy to note that we have a wonderful lineup; our keynote speaker, who is also our annual Bisson Lecturer in the Humanities, will be Dr. Steven Lubar of Brown University; he’ll be speaking on museum studies and American culture in “The Curator Rules” (4:00pm, April 10, Reinsch Auditorium–everyone is welcome). We also have several wonderful panels on digital humanities, public writing, and more. Please encourage your students and colleagues to attend!

The full (draft) conference schedule is embedded below, and you can also access it here. Please encourage your students and colleagues to attend!
