#LanguageDeath: Photographic Visualization

During our first class in MICA’s Data Analytics and Visualization class, we learned a lot about different forms of visualization–this is my project for our photographic visualization week. The idea behind it is to inform a wide urban audience about the phenomenon of language death, which is unfortunately only increasing with each year that passes. Language death occurs when the last native speaker of that language dies.

Here, I have constructed an advocacy campaign for bus shelters and other large spaces that uses QR codes to connect the audience with more information. The images are all last native speakers of their language.
